The mermaid table that is.......... the glass top came and once my sweet husband returned from his travels we were able to put it on the base. Since it weighs 120 lbs. I didn't want to try it before he got back.
For those who didn't see her without her top -- go to this link.
I love having her complete.
It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteJanet, she looks so wonderful.
ReplyDeleteYou obviously do NOT have children running around the house! LOL MY coffee table which is also glass has finger prints on it daily! LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteIT is fun to see what gardeners do when we aren't out in the yard.
Happy Spring!
Tina, thanks, I really am tickled with her.
ReplyDeleteLona, I appreciate it.
Kim and Victoria, welcome! Thanks for visiting and also for commenting.
Bren, On these muddy days I think a wet dog shaking will easily compete with finger prints. I forsee splatters from one Aussie especially.
What a unique coffee table Janet!
ReplyDeleteJanet - that's very cool. She's quite ephemeral, isn't she? Have you read the Mermaid Chair by Sue Monk Kidd? (Or the Secret Life of Bees) They are wonderful books. Have you named her?
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you are thrilled! She looks gorgeous with her glass 'hat', brimming over her!
ReplyDeleteRacquel, it IS unique and I am a lucky gal to have it!
ReplyDeleteDiana, I haven't named her yet, have a couple names floating around. I have not read The Mermaid Chair, think I need to add it to my reading list, thanks.
Jan, I am very thrilled! thanks
I was busy checking out your surroundings. You've got beautiful taste. Your rug is very cool. Glad to see everything is now as it should be.
ReplyDeleteThanks Grace, rugs and sofas were new after Isabel. Thanks for checking out our surroundings.
ReplyDeleteOh my word!! It is fabulous. I knew it was going to look grand with that rug and your wall color. I think I had that wall color in my former kitchen and loved it. Is it by Sherwin Williams and called Smoke? You think it's a blue but it's in the grey family. It was very difficult to find. I must have painted my kitchen 9 times before I got the correct blue. My second guess would be Nantucket.
ReplyDeleteThe angle in the first picture really sets it off well.
Thanks so much Anna. We really like our room. It was added in 1999, then redone after Hurricane Isabel. The first time the blue on the wall was Silent Musing by Gliddon. The second time the painter assured me he could match it. It is very close, but not exactly it. I will have to check out Smoke and Nantucket.
ReplyDeleteExcellent! She looks great with her top on. The rug is lovely, too.
ReplyDeletethanks Lisa, The rug gives the room some nice color, both sofas are off white. Still need a name for Miss Mermaid.
ReplyDeleteNow she looks complete!
ReplyDeleteShe does indeed Skeeter. thanks.
ReplyDeleteOkay gal I am loving your blue living room walls and accents. I have old paneling so no wall color there but my washroom and bathroom walls are blue. In the living room I have blue couch and chair and blue accent rugs. My carpet is almost white or an off white.
ReplyDeleteYour table is so pretty. Love it all.
